Scholarships

There are numerous national and international scholarships, fellowships and bursaries available to South African students interested in doing postgraduate studies abroad.

When studying aboard, students may gain greater exposure to challenges or best practices of that host country and share that knowledge and fresh ideas with peers in South Africa. The following scholarships are highly recommended:

    • The Erasmus Mundus Programme offers scholarships for study in Europe, click here for more information.  
    • The Common Wealth offers scholarships for study in the United Kingdom, for more information, click here.
    • Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) covers Commonwealth Scholarships offered by all member countries (the Commission only offers Scholarships funded by the UK), visit www.csfp-online.org to find out more.
